Lesson 15 – RECIPE: Grain Free & Paleo Fudgy Brownies

Quantum Light Coaching Class

Saturday Class 16 – Week 4

Recitation of Light Coaching Creed

We will begin each course reciting the Light Coaching Creed as an affirmation

and a means to set our intention of what we will manifest as Light Coaches.

Grounding

We will always begin each class with a brief grounding to help with any triggers

That may come up as a result of the things being discussed in each class.

Grounding is important to make sure you are connected to Mother Earth and God.

Carry crystals or sage in your pocket to help with this on a regular basis.

Notes:

**Erin shares the story of her daughter and their journey to nutrition and health**

-What is leaky gut?

-Food that is in the digestive system tube, which is a tube that keeps food from releasing into the body until it is fully digested with the vitamins and minerals separated out so that they can be released into the body.

-Inflammation

-Associated with all modern diseases including mood and behavior issues. Ex. Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and depression.

-Bad for gut health: birth control, steroids, ibuprofen and stress.

-To calculate how many teaspoons of sugar are in an item of food, divide the grams of sugar by 4.

-Synthetic sugar is very bad although natural sugar is ok ex. honey or syrup

-Sugar feeds yeast which creates Candida.

-How did all this sugar get in our food?

-The sugar industry paid Harvard researchers to complete a study that linked fat as being the source of cardiovascular disease.

-Candida yeast craves sugar so you crave sugar when you have Candida.

-Gluten-wheat we grow is modified to survive drought and they are sprayed with pesticides.

-U.S. bread is about speed so it consequently, has a lot of gluten in it so that it can be ‘rapid rising’

-Elsewhere it’s a very slow process so that it can break down proteins properly for the body to digest.

-Dairy can cause inflammation

-Some fermented dairy is ok, though. Ex. yogurt

-U.S. dairy products are full of hormones and stress due to the substandard lives and stress that the animals who provide this food are subjected to.

-Alcohol damages the gut lining. This is why your stomach feels off the next day (hangover) and people often take a couple days to recover from a night of drinking.

-MSG and additives are also bad for your gut.

-Take a pro-biotic at night before bed. Eat fermented foods like kombucha, sauerkraut, pickles, yogurt, or milk kefir.

-It’s always more potent to ferment foods at home vs. buying them in a store.

**Erin shares her story of adrenal fatigue**

-What is adrenal fatigue? When you’re tired all the time, have low energy, hair loss, irregular menstrual cycles, irritability, chronic stress, low sex drive, monkey mind even though you’re exhausted.

-Treat adrenal fatigue with meditation –> it is the only thing that will help you de-stress because stress is at the root of adrenal fatigue.

-Lots of things can cause stress…divorce, death in the family, job loss, etc.

-Remove caffeine and sugar!!

-Eat protein in the morning (20-40g)

-Sleep is a priority with adrenal fatigue.

-Eat healthy fats. Ex. ghee, coconut oil, grass fed butter in coffee

-Drink decaffeinated coffee and use Swiss filtered water

-Use maple syrup, honey, stevia or xzyletol as a sweetener

-Take vitamins , B6 & B12 when you are stressed.
